One special episode of General Hospital will be dedicated to the feisty Ava Jerome (Maura West).

A special episode of General Hospital is coming your way on Wednesday, January 17. Ava Jerome is about to undergo another surgery to finish repairing the facial scars she got in the warehouse fire last year. According to a report by Soap Opera Digest, this particular show will be all about Ava. There is expected to be a few surprises along the way as well.

Ava’s past comes back to haunt her

Ms. Jerome has had quite a colorful past. She was heavily into the mob world when she and her brother, Julian Jerome, came into town. Her ongoing feud with local mobster, Sonny Corinthos, is still in full force. However, they did have a few minutes of reconciliation that resulted in a baby together. Her history of doing whatever it takes to get what she wants will be exposed on Wednesday.

This standalone episode will be taking Ava down memory lane to reveal all the things she has done in her past. As she goes under during her surgery, Ava will be confronted with her misdeeds. According to ABC’s Nathan Varni, anyone could show up at any point during the one-hour show.

Guess who’s back?

According to the previews for Wednesday’s episode of General Hospital, Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) will be showing up asking Ava for help. His special appearance was also confirmed by the actor himself on social media.

Morgan’s death was the result of a car explosion thanks to the other Jerome sibling, Olivia. However, he may not have gotten in the car in the first place if Ava hadn’t messed around with his bipolar medications.

This special episode of General Hospital will also feature Carly getting up in Ava’s face as she has done for years. She believes that Ava got what she deserved in the fire after what she did to Morgan and will hound her about it in her dream sequence as well. The previews revealed that Nina and Scott will also pop into Ava’s haunted past.

Focus on Griffin

According to an interview in Soap Opera Digest, Nathan Varni revealed that in addition to the surprise visitors, Griffin and Ava’s unlikely pairing will be front and center in Ava’s anesthetic dream. It’s expected to be a deeper look into their relationship. Ava currently feels insecure about their relationship with her leftover facial scars, but it sounds like her visions during the surgery will enlighten her and help to deepen their bond.

Stay tuned to General Hospital this week to see Ava’s journey into her past and what her future may look like.
